How to Build a Content Calendar You'll Actually Stick To

Consistency is the single biggest driver of social media growth — and a content calendar is how you get there. Here’s the system we use with our clients.

Start with content pillars

Pick 3–5 themes your brand can speak to all day: education, behind-the-scenes, social proof, and promotion are a great starting set. Every post should map to one.

Batch by pillar, not by day

Instead of asking “what do I post Tuesday?”, create several posts for one pillar at a time. It’s faster and keeps your messaging cohesive.

Plan the month, schedule the week

Sketch the month at a high level, then refine and schedule one week at a time so you can stay responsive to trends and news.

Leave room to be timely

Block 20–30% of your slots for spontaneous, in-the-moment content. The calendar is a guide, not a cage.
